WELCOME TO AFRICA!

JW Seagon is one of the largest insurance brokers in East Africa, with offices in Kenya, Tanzania, Mauritius and the UK. JW Seagon offers first world peace of mind and access to emergency healthcare on a continent we know and love.

We have a wealth of experience in international medical insurance as well as the tourism and travel industry providing insurance for most of the major tour operators, hotels, camps and lodges in our region. We know what works and what does not work in our part of Africa.

Sadly, despite everyone’s best efforts, things do occasionally go wrong while travelling. Whether it is a diving accident off the coast of Tanzania or severe food poisoning in the Maasai Mara, these disasters have to be dealt with. Unlike in the UK or USA, where access to doctors, ambulances and hospitals is almost always on your doorstep, Africa is a massive continent and it is not always easy to access these services in an emergency.

But we can and we do.

You will almost certainly have purchased a travel insurance policy for your trip. In most cases it will have an ‘Emergency Assistance’ service associated with it, and you will feel comfortable that you have a number to call should you require assistance in an emergency. However, in our experience the person at the other end of the telephone does not always have the local, inside knowledge which is essential in an emergency situation. This local knowledge can be a life-saver and JW Seagon and our partners, AMREF Flying Doctors, possess this knowledge and experience. In order to ensure that you have everything you need for your trip, please consider our excellent JWS Travel policy. It will provide you with everything you will need, including use of the Intana Global assistance facility, plus for East Africa in particular, access to AMREF Flying Doctors.

Even if you have already purchased Travel Cover, you may well want to consider buying the AMREF short period Maisha Medial cover for that extra piece of mind. Details of both are on the links below.
