Mandhari Lodge opened June 2019 as the new flagship for Nasikia Camps. It is perched on the edge of the Manyara escarpment, rather like a beautifully-appointed eagle's eyrie, from where you have breath-taking panoramic views of the great expanse from Lake Natron to Mondulli Mountains and across Lake Manyara from sunrise to sunset.

Mandhari Lodge

Manyara Escarpment, private land, permanent, all year round

(Maasai Wanderings)

Mandhari means 'view or landscape’ in Swahili and the view will exceed all expectations. If your eyes are indeed the windows to your soul, then your soul will be touched by the Spirit of Africa. Whether it's from the glass-fronted standard suites, the honeymoon nest or the Nasikia Villa – The Great Rift Valley is your African oyster to experience.

With 100% locally-sourced materials, the lodge has been built with a passion for its environment and a respect for its beloved history. You can use the lodge as a base from which to delve into the heart of Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park and Ngorongoro Crater – or simply remain in the grasp of its surroundings with an extensive range of cultural delights to experience and take home with you.

This includes traditional spa treatments, highlands hiking, learning the art of Tinga-Tinga painting, Swahili cooking lessons, getting your beat in tune with Africa with African drumming lessons, customary dancing, the ancient art of yoga and more. Mandhari Lodge has everything that a luxurious lodge has to offer but is at one with the peace and harmony of the African bush.
